Custom Crating and Packing

American Export Packing and Crating - Products

These are just some of the products that we regularly do for our existing customers. If you have a unique requirement, we would be happy to sit down with you and custom design the right packaging for your needs.

MIL-Spec PackagingBox – Usually custom designed for different sizes and dimensions and used for general purpose packaging of equipment and materials to protect from damage during transport. The boxes come in different styles, namely:

A close box made mostly of plywood and supported with wooden cleats. This is for general purpose packaging especially for shipments that will go overseas.

All wood for heavy loads. This box is made of lumber on all sides for a more sturdy protection of your equipment or material. Cost a bit more than cleated plywood box.

Crate – commonly referred to as open crate, it has a solid base like all other types of box but the sides are lumber membranes instead of close wall. Normally used for products or materials that is not overly sensitive to surface damage or scratches.

Skids and Pallets – also used for transporting equipments and materials. Depending on the weight, it could be a cleated plywood bottom or solid wood or lumber. We can design it to have either 2-way or 4-way access by a forklift.

Fiber Board or Cardboard Box. Depending on the equipment or material to be packed, we use single-, double-, triple-wall corrugated boards.

MIL-Spec PackagingThe equipments or materials are secured on the above by banding with steel strap, bolting on to the base, or blocking with foam or wood braces.
